The Business

Join us as a Finance Intelligence Manager as part of the RBS International Finance Team on Jersey

What you'll do

You’ll be producing monthly management accounts, forecasts and annual budgets for RBSI and its underlying business areas. This will be underpinned with insightful MI which allows business trends, opportunities and risks to performance to be identified. You'll understand our business strategic objectives, and track and report on how the business is performing in relation. You'll also be involved in reporting business performance, and involves working with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders at all levels across Finance, RBSI and bank.

Day to day in your role, you'll be:

  • Working with customers, business partners and Senior Business Intelligence Managers to identify opportunities for Profit & Loss improvements
  • Developing financial models that deliver timely, robust and action-oriented outputs that can drive commercial discussions and decisions
  • Managing the end to end delivery of a range of structured initiatives and projects, such as budgets and forecasts, performance monitoring and risk and opportunity analyses

The skills you'll need

You'll be able to draw on your experience in the banking or finance industry, and pair this with your analytical mindset where you enjoy working with fine details. You'll be a strategic thinker, along with having experience in people management as you will be managing a small team as part of your role. It would also be ideal if you were a qualified accountant, however this is not a necessity.

We're also looking for:

  • A strong commercial awareness and business acumen
  • The ability to communicate complex financial information in a concise, non-technical manner
  • Planning and organisation skills
  • The ability to work in a flexible environment

What else you need to know

Due to local legislation, you'll need to be registered as 'Entitled' or 'Entitled to work' residential status to undertake this role.
