The Business

Join us as an Assistant Relationship Director in our Financial & Corporate Services team on the Isle of Man

  • You'll be supporting a team of Relationship Directors in the managing their portfolios of clients, and will have a major role to play delivering an outstanding customer experience
  • Your talents will help us to build strong and lasting client relationships
  • A really valuable chance for you to gain or develop your knowledge of credit analysis, structuring lending propositions, and client management

What you'll do

You'll provide dedicated support to a team of Relationship Directors in managing a portfolio of Trust, Intermediary, Funds and Financial Institutional clients. It's a varied role, calling for outstanding levels of customer service. You'll also get valuable exposure to our clients, accompanying the Relationship Directors to client meetings to assist with discussions around service and account management.

Other aspects of your role will include:

  • Helping us to maintain the highest levels of credit stewardship – including facility and security documentation – and operational risk management
  • Preparing comprehensive briefing notes ahead of client meeting which give a full view of credit, operational risk and product information
  • Proactively assessing new lending requests, and managing the ongoing annual renewal process for the existing borrowing portfolio
  • Researching and analysing financial information for use by the Relationship Directors in preparing complex lending submissions

The skills you'll need

This role is suitable for someone who has existing relationship support experience, with an understanding of how to manage the operational needs of a portfolio of clients. We'll also be looking for:

  • An existing knowledge of corporate banking processes, products and procedures, and the desire to improve
  • An interest in, and appreciation of, the wider overall economic and financial outlook
  • An analytical approach, and a good ability to read financial information
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including good verbal and written communication

What else you need to know

Due to local legislation, you'll need to possess the right to both live and work on the Isle of Man to undertake this role.
