The Business

Join us as an Investment Communications Manager in London

  • You'll oversee the distribution of Financial Advice & Investment Solutions (FAIS) communications, reflecting our views as the investment Centre of Excellence (CoE) for the bank
  • It's an opportunity to take responsibility for communications across a number of channels and brands, including Coutts, NatWest and RBS

What you'll do

You'll provide timely distribution of investment communications through a range of internal and external channels and brands, including Coutts, NatWest and RBS as well as Private Banking, Commercial & Private Banking and Personal & Business Banking employees, reflecting the view of FAIS. Using a broad and innovative range of mediums, you'll deliver clear and concise content to maximise audience engagement. It's also essential you provide robust governance for the investment content. 

Managing the distribution team, you'll have a strong focus on engagement and productivity, and make sure all communications reflect Coutts' view in a confident and impactful way. You'll make sure all communications comply with Financial Promotions requirements, and are positioned correctly for the intended audience and brands, while also distributing client communications via mediums such as written content, film, website and email

Additionally, you'll:

  • Provide employees across agreed channels with timely awareness of FAIS investment process and house views
  • Build awareness and understanding of FAIS investment capability to raise the quality of client conversations and cross brand referrals
  • Maintain the client pitch books for investment clients, tailoring communication where required
  • Provide management information related to the delivery and impact of content, and successfully deliver FAIS related events
  • Coordinate and deliver the investment board reports and information for Management Committees and Entity Boards

The skills you'll need

You'll have proven experience of investment solutions as delivered by FAIS across a broad range of services, and market leading knowledge across both Private Banking and Personal Banking. You'll need technical investment expertise, including a thorough understanding of key asset classes such as bonds, equities and alternatives. 

We'll also expect:

  • An up to date understanding of world markets and the key events that may impact FAIS products and services
  • A strong understanding of the regulatory environment governing private banking activities, private client advice and financial promotions
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, developed through experience of managing complex relationship networks
  • Exceptional project and process management skills, with a delivery focus
