What you'll do

As Senior Assurance Manager, you'll oversee the delivery of high quality assurance reviews. A team of Assurance Managers and Assistant Assurance Managers will be conducting these assurance reviews, and a huge part of your role will involve you drawing on your strong leadership skills to lead and manage them. You'll be providing leadership, coaching and direction, and by driving continuous improvement in structure, methodology and reporting mechanisms, you'll make sure your team work in a dynamic and flexible way, so that they can adapt to changing business needs.

The skills you'll need

With leadership being at the heart of this role, it's really important that you have leadership or people management skills and experience, or a strong desire to develop these skills further. As a leader, you'll motivate your team and strive to get the best out of them, through regular coaching and feedback and through use of our 'Determined to lead' tools.

Preferably, you'll also have:

  • Knowledge of how regulatory, reputational and environmental risk issues impact a complex financial services business
  • An excellent understanding of risk management principles and methodologies, along with a detailed knowledge of business processes and controls
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Influencing and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to view the impact of issues from a wider perspective

What else you need to know

Due to local legislation, you’ll need to possess the right to both live and work on the Isle of Man or Jersey to undertake this role.
