What you'll do

As Product Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our core banking products, ensuring they're high quality, profitable and most importantly, meeting the needs of our clients. As such, you'll be our subject matter expert, providing training to frontline teams, raising awareness of our proposition and new product launches.

Day-to-day, you'll be:

  • Researching main banking products and undertaking competitive benchmarking and performance of existing products and market data to support longer-term planning
  • Managing large scale product development projects, providing expertise and specialist technical input to ensure products reflect the market and our clients' needs
  • Developing and managing product pricing, ensuring that it's fair to both new and existing customers and to optimise revenue in line with business risk appetite and regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining an awareness of the Private Banking industry, strategic focus of the organisation, trends within the external market and potential development areas
  • Analysing and evaluating management information in order to monitor work outputs and product performance
  • Managing products within the proposition, ensuring the completion of product reviews and managing follow up actions

The skills you'll need

To join us in this role, you'll need a good understanding of the Retail and Private Banking market in the UK, and related regulatory environment. You'll have a proven track record within banking product management and development and experience of developingand implementing business strategy within a bank.

We'll also be looking for you to demonstrate:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with and influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience and the ability to support, coach and develop others through effective leadership and coaching
  • The ability to balance your strong focus on commercial performance with a strong client focused mindset

Experience within the Wealth market would also be desirable.
