The Business

We're hiring a Visual Interface Designer to join us in London

  • A rare opportunity to create visually engaging, innovative, and functional digital products across all platforms for some of the most revered brands in financial services
  • Private Banking's strategy for transforming our client-facing channels is anchored on the resolve to build a best-in-class user experience; you'll have a key role in creating it
  • Your ability to bring vision and concepts to life will be key to the team's success

What you'll do

You'll take a leading role in delivering high quality and impactful client experiences across all Private Banking's client-facing channels. As our visual designer, you'll have responsibility for areas of design such as typography, iconography, colour, space and texture. You'll succeed in the role by:

  • Generating clear ideas, concepts and designs for creative assets from beginning to end

  • Being part of a cross-functional team that includes engineers and product managers; fostering collaboration to create simple, easy-to-use digital products
  • Being able to read UX produced wireframes, and translate them into completed visual designs and specifications for technical teams to implement
  • Staying in the loop and on top of the latest standards, changes and trends in visual design
  • Interpreting storyboards to tell visual stories that support learning

You’ll have a restless focus on improvement, using supporting evidence and metrics to drive customer-focused innovation. You’ll earn confidence through clear expertise in your field, maintained through both formal and informal learning.

The skills you'll need

We'll expect proven professional experience in designing with brand identities, grid systems and editorial layouts to deliver digital applications for web, desktop and mobile. You'll have a clear history of delivering high quality designs to customers, and will bring a stunning portfolio which you are proud to share.

We'll also be looking for:

  • Strong skills across a range of design tools, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Sketch, Invision and UXPin
  • The ability to refine other people’s ideas and come up with new ones to create a highly designed visual experience
  • Great organisation skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects and deliver refined design in a short time
  • A driven approach to your own learning, with the ability to learn new tools quickly and work in a fast evolving environment
