What you'll do

You'll work with portfolio check-in administrators, to provide highly effective delivery of the check-in process for all Coutts portfolio clients. We'll look to you to assess clients’ portfolios ensuring they remain suitable for them, especially in the event of any changing client circumstances and as part of the regular “check in” operation.

In this role, you'll:

  • Ensure a portfolio remains suitable and appropriate to a client’s circumstances, especially in light of any changes -  including to risk tolerance, time horizon, liquidity needs, taxation and any unique needs and preferences as part of the “check in”
  • Interpret suitability review forms returned by clients or information provided by telephone and liaise directly with clients in the event of any material changes
  • Undertake full portfolio strategy reviews where required, for clients where their portfolio requirements haven’t yet been agreed post RDR - this involves agreeing their requirements and circumstances, and determining if the portfolio is suitable, or recommending appropriate changes

The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, you'll need a strong level of technical knowledge, and ideally you'll be working towards QCF level 4 qualification under RDR, a CISI Investment Advice Diploma, CII Diploma or Investment Management Certificate - or equivalent.

We'll expect you to ideally have experience dealing with client requirements in relation to suitability and have a broad general knowledge of the financial services environment and investment knowledge.

You'll also need to be able to:

  • Identify scenarios where responses to client may require further investigation and analysis
  • Be articulate and confident in dealing with clients by telephone and other communication mediums
