What you'll do

You'll assist and advise clients, trustees and beneficiaries on an existing book of UK family and charitable trusts with support from the trust administration team who deal with the day to day administration, including trust tax affairs and accounts. You'll also assist senior advisors in providing advice to clients who wish to establish new UK family trusts or charitable foundations.

You'll develop and demonstrate clear technical expertise regarding the client’s trust requirements, and support Private Bankers with the maintenance of the overall client relationship.

  • Maintain a high level of technical, industry and professional knowledge, and are prepared to provide advice and guidance on a broad range of delicate and confidential matters, driving client satisfaction and retention
  • Demonstrate respect, sophistication and discretion when communicating with our clients, and defining the standard for our future

The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role you'll need outstanding interpersonal skills and exceptional attention to detail, and be able to carefully listen to and understand the needs of our clients to meet their individual requirements. Experience in the area of trusts is important and a recognised legal, tax or financial planning qualification or STEP diploma would be preferred.

You'll also demonstrate:

  • Strong financial acumen with a background in trusts and estate planning
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience of working with people
