The Requirements

Join us in Glasgow or Edinburgh as a Director, Financial Planner

  • You'll be a trusted adviser to Adam & Co clients, identifying their needs and advising on suitable wealth management and third party solutions including pensions, inheritance tax, investments and protection
  • Continue your professional development in this fast paced role with a focus on maintaining excellent levels of competence

What you'll do

This role will see you working with the Head of Financial Planning to ensure that performance MI is accurately recorded and presented. You’ll provide guidance and motivation to wealth managers on investments, pensions, inheritance tax and other complex financial planning products and services, using innovative ideas and participation in team.

You'll also be:

  • Promoting and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and the delivery of consistently high client service, mentoring and coaching other Adam & Co employees
  • Demonstrating a fundamental commitment to Adam business principles through outstanding client service, professionalism and risk management
  • Maintaining a high level of industry knowledge and sharing this knowledge with colleagues
  • Ensuring first class regulatory compliance and risk management, adhering to the culture and principles of treating customer fairly

The skills you'll need

You’ll be able to earn the confidence of your customers with clear expertise in your field and astute advice communicated well. You’ll be an accomplished networker committed to sharing knowledge, and will use critical thinking skills to cut through complexity, and make sound decisions and recommendations.

Additionally, you'll demonstrate:

  • A Chartered Financial Planning status with a willingness to progress to Level 6 via the CISI within 12 months
  • An appropriate qualification in accordance with the FCA training and competence handbook covering advice activity of securities, derivatives and packaged products
  • A proven track record of meeting financial and service targets
  • Extensive experience in pensions, inheritance tax planning, investments and protection
  • Knowledge of the market and the ability to demonstrate how protection products are utilised
